Marc E. deBaptiste - Vice Chairman

Marc deBaptiste, vice chairman and co-founding partner of ARA, A Newmark Company, has been in the multifamily business since 1986 and has received nationwide recognition for his performance in the apartment market in Florida and throughout the United States. Having been personally involved in the sale and capitalization of over $16 billion in multifamily properties, he has the experience and execution skills to successfully orchestrate any multifamily transaction. Prior to the formation of ARA, Mr. deBaptiste was Operating Partner of Lincoln Property Company where he developed apartment communities and oversaw the property management of more than 14,000 apartments. Before that Mr. deBaptiste was a broker at Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services (CBRE), where his sales ranked in the top one percent in the United States and number one in the Southeast.

Mr. deBaptiste is a member of ARA Newmark’s National Strategic Planning Committee and an executive board member for the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) where he also serves on NMHC’s Political Action Committee. Well-versed in multihousing development capitalization and sales, Mr. deBaptiste is recognized as an often-requested spokesperson at regional and national industry meetings and forums. He served as Vice Chairman for the Community Redevelopment Agency of Delray Beach, Florida and is a board member of the South Palm Beach County Boys and Girls Club which he co-founded and was formerly chairman.

Richard P. Donnellan, Jr. - Vice Chairman

Dick Donnellan is a Vice Chairman of ARA, a Newmark Company. He is one of the original founding partners of ARA and oversees operations throughout the state of Florida. He is the registered Broker for ARA Florida. He served as President of ARA National during its formation and growth. Dick also served on the National Executive Committee for ARA. He has specialized in the sale of multi-housing properties with a significant track record representing major private and institutional investors. He has extensive experience in arranging structured finance, JV equity and pre-sale transactions. He is an active member of the National Multi-Housing Council.

Dick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Florida. He served on the Executive Committee of the UF Bergstrom Real Estate Center and is the past Chairman of the Center’s Advisory Board. He has appeared as a spokesperson at national meetings and forums including National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), Nova University Masters program, UBS Annual Investor Conference and the University of Florida Masters of Real Estate program. He received the UF Alumni of the Year Award and is an active member of the UF Foundation National Board.

Avery R. Klann - Executive Managing Director

Boca Raton, FL

Avery Klann is an executive managing director with ARA, A Newmark Company where he leads the South Florida team based in Boca Raton. With more than 14 years of real estate experience at ARA Newmark, Mr. Klann and his team manage the disposition of multihousing properties throughout South Florida. He also leads NGKF Capital Markets for South Florida, arranging joint venture equity and capital for acquisition and development projects. Since joining ARA Newmark in 2002, Mr. Klann has been actively involved in the sale of over $10 billion in multihousing transactions.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Klann was a consultant with Accenture, where he assisted regional banks, investment banks and other financial services clients in developing business strategies, financial models and business plans.

Mr. Klann is a member of Urban Land Institute and a board member of University of Florida’s Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. He has been recognized by numerous industry publications and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Mr. Klann has been actively involved in fundraising for the Center for Family Services and the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Mr. Klann graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and real estate. He has completed the Real Estate Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Hampton Beebe - Executive Managing Director

Boca Raton, FL

Hampton Beebe is an executive managing director with ARA, A Newmark Company based in the Boca Raton office where he specializes in new business generation in addition to the marketing and sale of multifamily properties, land and the structuring of joint ventures throughout southeast and southwest Florida. Since joining ARA Newmark in 2006, Mr. Beebe has been involved in the sale of over $6 billion in multifamily assets throughout Florida.

Mr. Beebe is recognized as an expert in his field and has spoken at various conferences and panels on Commercial Real Estate.  He has been named a “Power Leader in Commercial Real Estate” by the South Florida Business Journal, a “Heavy Hitter in Commercial Real Estate” by the Daily Business Review and a “Power Broker” by CoStar multiple times. Mr. Beebe has also been recognized for “Multifamily Deal of the Year” in 2010, 2011 and 2013 by The Daily Business Review. 

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Beebe was a director of sales for a communications company where he managed a regional sales office and was ranked among the top performers in the United States.

Mr. Beebe serves on the board of directors of the West Palm Beach Police Athletic League and has been actively involved in fundraising for various charities with his wife of 10 years and their three children.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida and a Florida Real Estate brokers license.

Jonathan Senn - Transaction Manager

Boca Raton, FL

Jonathan Senn is a transaction manager for ARA, A Newmark Company’s South Florida team where he is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the transaction process including valuations, negotiations, due diligence and closings, as well as fostering new and existing client relationships.

Throughout his career, Mr. Senn has been involved in the sale of over $1 billion of multifamily assets and $500 million of commercial assets including land and office properties. He also has experience structuring joint venture arrangements, including raising equity for the vertical development of new apartment communities.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Senn was an associate with the Capital Markets Group of Avison Young, previously Flagler Real Estate Services.

Mr. Senn received a Masters of Science in real estate from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from Florida International University. He is a licensed Florida real estate sales associate and a member of the University of Florida - Friends and Alumni of Real Estate.
