Debbie Corson is vice chairman and managing broker of Newmark Knight Frank and is one of the original founding partners of ARA. She leads Newmark Knight Frank's Midwest division which specializes in the sale and finance of multihousing properties and portfolios through the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan. The foundation of the firm is built upon over 35 years of experience providing performance-based service and developing long-standing relationships with many of the largest real estate companies in the U.S., including AMLI Residential, AIMCO, Camden Property Trust, DRA Advisors, General Investment & Development Co., ING Realty Partners, John Hancock, Jupiter Realty Company and Sentinel Real Estate Corporation. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 1994, Ms. Corson has negotiated the sale of over $4.9 billion in multihousing properties and has dominated the Midwest multihousing sales market throughout her career. Her tri-state sales have earned her the #1 Midwest Top Producer award for the past four years from the Commercial Real Estate Council of Greater Cincinnati. Ms. Corson is a frequent contributor to industry publications and panels, including, RealShare conferences, Apartment Finance Today and Multihousing News.

Susan Lawson - Broker and Managing Director

Susan Lawson, a native of Chicago, is broker and managing director for Newmark Knight Frank’s Chicago operation where she has been involved in the sale of over $3.6 billion apartment properties since joining ARA in 2007. Her Chicago market expertise includes both downtown and suburban assets, and her client list ranges from private equity funds, institutional advisors, REITS, and developers including American Realty Advisors, JP Morgan, Steadfast Companies, Marquette, and Golub, just to name a few. With experience in a wide variety of apartment transactions, including high-level performing properties, newly developed Class A assets, value-add opportunities and others, clients rely on Ms. Lawson as a knowledgeable source of market trends and statistics. She is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including market research, business and client development, asset valuation and underwriting, contract negotiation and closing. Ms. Lawson obtained a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University after receiving an undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison.

George Skaff - Executive Managing Director

George Skaff is a executive managing director for ARA, A Newmark Company with over 14 years of real estate experience, dealing exclusively in Midwest multihousing with a focus on the Ohio and Kentucky markets. Since joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Skaff has been directly involved in the sale of over $3 billion in multihousing asset sales. He is engaged in all aspects of the marketing process, including market research, business development, underwriting, valuation, contract negotiation and closing. With a diverse background in real estate, Mr. Skaff has the ability to bring an all-encompassing view to his clients throughout the disposition process. He has received the highly coveted Columbus Board of Realtors Top Producer Award two of the last four years and has consistently been the top producing multihousing broker in the Columbus region.

Mr. Skaff is based in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.

Matt Newcomer - Managing Director

Matt Newcomer is a managing director for Newmark Knight Frank’s Midwest investment sales team where he focuses on multihousing properties in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. He has over five years of experience in commercial real estate and has been involved in the sale of over $1.5 billion in multihousing assets for both private and institutional investors. Mr. Newcomer is involved in all aspects of the acquisition and disposition process including research, business development, marketing, negotiating and closing. To the benefit of his clients, he has the ability to add value to every step of the sales cycle through his in-depth knowledge of the market.

Mr. Newcomer graduated from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business with a concentration in finance and real estate.
