Brian J. O'Boyle, Sr. is founder and vice chairman of the Newmark Knight Frank Dallas office as well as a partner in the Austin Newmark Knight Frank office, the Washington, DC Newmark Knight Frank office, and the Newmark Knight Frank National Seniors Housing Group. He has 30+ years of experience in real estate, specializing exclusively in the brokerage of multifamily projects and land. He holds the CCIM designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Council of the Realtor's National Marketing Institute and in November 2002 he was presented the Stemmons Service Award by the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors; this prestigious award is given annually by the NTCAR in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions to both the Real Estate industry and the community. Brian is also the recipient of the "Heavy Hitter's Award", given by the Dallas Business Journal to the #1 Investment Broker in the Metroplex. He received this award twice during the past ten years and has received "special recognition" status six additional times as a top producer in his field.

Brian R. Murphy, CCIM - Vice Chairman

Brian is the Vice Chairman in the Dallas office and a partner in the Austin office. With fifteen years of experience in multifamily, Brian directs his attention toward all aspects of the transaction process from valuation, marketing and client contact, due diligence, negotiations of the purchase and sale agreement, and deal funding. Brian is also involved in client development and production of new business. His experience also includes appraising and financial analysis, lease analysis, and market research. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Iowa Wesleyan College and is a designated Certified Commercial investment Member (CCIM).

Brian joined the company in 2005 as an investment broker and has been directly involved in the sale of more than $3 billion of multifamily transactions. He focuses on institutional-grade, Class 'A' and 'B' product throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. Further, Brian is involved in all aspects of the marketing process including client development, valuation, market research, buyer underwriting, and prospect follow-up. In 2009, Brian was also recognized by Real Estate Forum as a "Leading Deal Maker". He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and holds a BBA in real estate finance.

Bart Wickard - Senior Managing Director

Bart Wickard joined Newmark Knight Frank Dallas's investment brokerage team in 2010 and directs the secondary markets team that covers all of Texas north of Waco as well as New Mexico. Mr. Wickard and his team are involved with all aspects of client development, marketing, research, valuation, and sales. This is the only brokerage team exclusively focused on the secondary markets of North Texas and thus perennially ranks as the top producing team in this space, having closed more than 80 transactions during his tenure.

Mr. Wickard brings 10 years of financial planning and investment sales expertise and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, where he was an All-American swimmer.

Jakob Andersen - Senior Managing Director

Jakob joined the team in 2012 to partner in the Private Client Services division. He comes to Newmark Knight Frank from Archangel Capital Partners, a local Seniors living developer, where he functioned as the Director of Real Estate. Prior to Archangel, Jakob worked as an acquisitions and asset manager for INCAP Fund, an urban land developer in Dallas. He is a graduate of the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where he was an All-American swimmer.

Chris Colombe - Managing Director

Chris has over 30 years of experience as a land broker in Texas. His expertise in land has resulted in the sale of thousands of acres in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, Austin, Houston, and many other areas of Texas. Chris has also brokered many types of real estate throughout his career including multifamily units, office buildings, industrial buildings, retail centers and pad sites, single-family land, and farms and ranches. His focus on multifamily came about through various developers asking for assistance in site selection. This focus has resulted in the sale of over 23,000 multifamily (land) units throughout his career. This track record of successful closings has resulted in a large and diverse client base as well as a reputation as a multifamily expert in Texas. Chris’s knowledge of zoning and development guidelines over the years adds to the expertise required to navigate through the city.

Richard Furr - Senior Managing Director

Richard joined Dallas’s investment brokerage team in 2011. He brings a stellar track record to the table through his previous alliances with both The Milestone Group, where he led the acquisition team, and JPI, where he was an acquisition partner and Divisional Senior VP.

During his 25-year career, Richard has been responsible for over $1 billion in multifamily transactions; this includes ground-up new development, value-add acquisitions, and core asset acquisitions. Richard was an active leader within the National Multifamily Housing Council and is currently Chairman of the Regional Advisory Committee for Apartment Life. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and received a master’s degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University.

Linda Dugo - Director of Operations

As Director of Operations for Newmark Knight Frank's Dallas, Texas office, Linda is responsible for all accounting, administration/HR, communications, technical support and system rollouts, database management, and contract negotiation affecting daily operations. Duties also include management of the Marketing, Finance, and Graphic Art teams. Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University and a master's degree in Administration from Texas A & M - Commerce.

Matt Wideman - Transaction Manager

Dallas, TX

Matt Wideman joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2015 as a transaction manager with significant experience in the industry including acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and property management as well as development and capital markets analysis. Mr. Wideman graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Southern Methodist University while being a starter on the SMU men’s soccer team where he competed in the College Cup. After a short stint in Major League Soccer (MLS), he began his career in commercial real estate.
