Gail Neuburg is a vice chairman for ARA, A Newmark Company and is recognized as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most active brokers. With more than 25 years specializing in multifamily brokerage, here real estate experience ranging from development, financial analysis, and market assessment to sales and marketing, Ms. Neuburg has executed more than 150 multihousing transactions throughout her career and over the past eight years, has worked with top institutional clients to broker more than $1.9 billion in multifamily apartment sales in the Pacific Northwest. She has been awarded CoStar’s Top Sales Broker Award every year since 2011.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark in 2010, Gail was the top producer in the Portland, OR based firm of Tilbury, Ferguson & Neuburg, an investment advisory firm that specializes in representing apartment property owners in Pacific Northwest markets including Oregon and Washington.

Before beginning her career in real estate, Ms. Neuburg was the director of marketing and sales for a $5 billion multi-company utility and was a principal in an international electronics market research firm with clients such as Intel and Apple. She has both a BA in public administration and a masters in education from the University of Oregon. Her professional and civic affiliations include the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Broker’s Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Portland as secretary of the board.

Marty Leith - Director

Marty Leith joined ARA, A Newmark Company in 2014 as a director responsible for operations in Washington with a primary focus on the Puget Sound markets of Seattle and Bellevue. He has over 14 years’ experience in multifamily sales and has sold over $750 million of assets in the Seattle MSA for a variety of clients, including institutional and private investors. Mr. Leith specializes in the sale of large institutional multifamily assets as well as land for development of new multifamily projects.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Leith was an associate partner at Hendricks Berkadia in Seattle where he nurtured strong client relationships and built upon his knowledge of the multifamily investment market in Seattle. Before that, he served as first vice president for Kidder Mathews’ multifamily and investment sales division. Prior to his real estate career, Mr. Leith spent 10 years as a Class “A” PGA golf professional in the Puget Sound region with a short stint on mini tours in the Southwest and another teaching swing mechanics in Toyko.

Mr. Leith is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the Washington State Commercial Association of Realtors, the Rental Housing Association of Puget Sound and is a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) candidate.

Mr. Leith is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Washington.

Jerry Sankey - Associate

Jerry Sankey joined ARA, A Newmark Company as an associate in July of 2014.  Mr. Sankey is responsible for brokerage and business development in the Puget Sound region with a focus on the sale and underwriting of developable land and Class B and C multifamily properties.  

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Sankey was an accomplished residential real estate agent in the greater Seattle area for 13 years. One of his career accomplishments included assembling the land for the developer of 63 high-end condominiums in the U-District in Seattle and the subsequent sale.

Prior to Mr. Sankey’s career in real estate, he developed his family's glass business which he eventually sold to a national chain. After the sale he was retained as sales manager. Mr. Sankey also spent 10 years in the Gulf of Alaska as a longline halibut fisherman. He is a native of Seattle and grew up in the Scandinavian neighborhood of Ballard.

 

Tri Tran - Transaction Manager

Tri Tran joined ARA Newmark 2014 as a transaction manager and is responsible for financial analysis, market research, pricing strategy, marketing and client development in Oregon and Washington. He is also responsible for managing the placement of equity capital for existing multifamily property owners as well as development capital. He was previously director of finance for an education management company building and managing international boarding and day schools and colleges. Prior to that, he has held positions at Intel and CBRE in financial and investment analysis roles.

Mr. Tran received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington with a graduate certificate in real estate finance and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) candidate.

Mr. Tran is a licensed broker in Oregon and Washington.

Rob Hackleman - Investment Analyst

Rob Hackleman joined ARA, A Newmark Company as an investment analyst in 2016 where he focuses on underwriting, preparation of offering memoranda and market analysis. He has seven years’ experience in the real estate industry.

Before joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Hackleman worked for Mack Urban, a premiere west coast multifamily development firm where he was responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of over 500 units, and oversaw the disposition of over $250 million in assets.

Mr. Hackleman earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington Foster School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from the University of Washington.

Mr. Hackleman is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Washington.

Dylan Roeter - Associate

Dylan Roeter joined ARA, A Newmark Company as an associate in 2016 where he will focus on market research and multifamily brokerage.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Mr. Roeter worked for Alliance Management, a company owning and operating more than 15 properties in the greater Seattle area, as an on-site assistant manager during major renovations. Before that, Mr. Roeter also worked for Development Services, a regional general contractor, during the redevelopment of multiple apartment buildings.

Mr. Roeter was born and raised in the Seattle area and is currently in pursuit of becoming a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) candidate. He has a passion for real estate and the future development of Seattle. Mr. Roeter graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance.

Jennifer Green joined ARA, A Newmark Company as marketing manager in April of 2012, bringing over 10 years of administration, marketing and graphic design experience to the firm. Ms. Green is responsible for the structuring and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns; production schedules and reporting for all active marketing assignments and concept creation and production of multimedia proposals, presentations and offering documents. She is additionally responsible for regional office systems, process improvements and public messaging.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Ms. Green spent six years as operations manager for a software consulting firm in Vancouver, Washington.

Natalie Averill joined ARA, A Newmark Company as an assistant transaction manager responsible for market analysis, due diligence management and marketing support. She brings with her seven years of experience in the financial industry including three years in multifamily investment analysis and sales.

Barbara Johnson is a transaction services coordinator for ARA, A Newmark Company where she is responsible for client coordination, database management, marketing and administrative support.

Prior to joining ARA Newmark, Ms. Johnson served as a brokerage assistant for NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson supporting office, retail, land, industrial and investment specialties. She also brings with her over 15 years of high level administrative support experience spanning various industries including medical research, non-profit, health care and restaurant.
